Child Safety Program

Local non-profit organizations operating within the City of Victoria may be eligible to apply for grant funding for child safety and/or child abuse intervention/prevention programs or drug and alcohol abuse intervention and prevention programs for children.

In order to be eligible for funds from this program, the organization applying must be a non-profit, non-taxing organization or entity operating within the City limits. The funds must go towards programs or organizations that are designed to enhance child safety,  including child abuse prevention and/or intervention or drug and/or alcohol abuse prevention for children, defined as under the age of 18 years of age. 

Local non-profit organizations operating within the City of Victoria may be eligible to apply for grant funding for child safety and/or child abuse intervention/prevention programs or drug and alcohol abuse intervention and prevention programs for children. Organizations are able to apply for grants annually during the month of August.

The City of Victoria has designated Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPST) that can inspect child passenger seats for proper installation and provide educational information to caregivers.
