Residents can earn rewards for shopping local as Discover Victoria, Texas again hosts the “Yule Love Shopping Victoria!” mobile promotion this holiday season.
“This promotion is a great opportunity for our businesses to increase their foot traffic and bring in potential new customers,” said Discover Victoria, Texas Destination Marketing Manager Nancy Brittain. “We hope that residents will choose to shop local and discover the many unique retail options Victoria has to offer.”
The promotion is hosted through the Bandwango mobile passport system. Discover Victoria, Texas has used Bandwango for similar limited promotions, such as “Tacos & Margs!” and “Discover Victoria Birding I-Spy!”
How it works
Residents and visitors can go to www.discovervictoriatexas.com and click on “Yule Love Shopping Victoria!” (located under the “Explore” tab) to sign up for the mobile passport.
After signing up, participants can check in at participating businesses to be entered into a drawing for one of five gift bags filled with items from local retailers and restaurants. Each check-in counts as an entry, so residents can visit all participating retailers for the best chance to win.

In addition to the drawing, residents who meet specific check-in milestones can earn T-shirts and other swag items.
The last day to check in will be Dec. 20. The drawing for the gift bags will take place Dec. 22. City staff will contact winners.
