Meridith Byrd was recently hired as the City of Victoria’s first environmental programs manager. In this role, she will promote environmental stewardship by overseeing public outreach, education and program management related to Solid Waste services. She will also serve as the executive director of Keep Victoria Beautiful, managing its budget, events, fundraising and beautification initiatives. Prior to her current role, Byrd was the director of community engagement for the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent and served on the board of Keep Victoria Beautiful for six years, including four years as the chair.
